The first thing is to set the white balance WITH the filter on the camera on the GREEN GRASS in the sun (important)

Then you have to shoot with that balance. Set a long exposure. You'll normally have a blue (or purple) image. The rest in only post processing with photoshop to get white trees and grass.

I hope it helped, otherwise there are a lot of sites on the Internet explaining this ;)

i've actually been doing this:

1. set camera on tripod
2. focus on target
3. set focus to manual (to prevent re-focusing)
4. take picture (normal exposure time, 1/125 or faster)
5. go to white balance options
6. select custom white balance, selecting the picture i just took (it uses the entire picture to find an average white balance)
7. screw on the r72 filter
8. set the exposure time to a 7" - 13"
9. take the picture again

i get something that is usually red, but that makes perfect sense in contrast with what you're saying. if you WB on green grass, your picture will be the opposite, being blue or purple. my picture turned out red, since i took a picture of a green tree. they are polar colors.

and the post processing thing ... i can't get it ...

i don't understand "how" to post process the images to make the trees white ...

i even bought a book "The Complete Guild to Infrared Photography" ... i still don't get it

i can show you my "red" tree picture, if you'd like ...

thank you very much for helping =)

try to take the pic with the WB set on the grass. Keep the long exposure.
Yes you can show me your red pic.

this will probably help you!
